GOVERNMENT to spend over Rs.4,000 crore for backward district
Karnataka to spend over Rs.4,000 crore for backward districts.
The Karnataka government decided to spend Rs.4,633 crore on 55 projects and programmes in the districts of north Karnataka for all-round development of the backward region.
"To bring about overall development of the Hyderabad-Karnataka region and remove regional imbalances, we have decided to implement 55 projects and programmes involving Rs.4,633 crore," Chief Minister B.S. Yeddyurappa told reporters after a three-hour long cabinet meeting at Gulbarga.

Coca Cola, which has 48% of its market share coming from south is planning to set up a manufacturing base in south.It is currently negotiating with Karnataka government for allotment of land in Yadgir district of Karnataka.
The investments will spread over a period of 5 years.
It will be a fruit based drinks plant considering the huge demand from PET based segments.
Currently, the company has 52 bottling plants of which 25 is owned by the company and the rest are franchise owned.If it happenes this is usefull for this region people becoz there is no big industry is there here.

Yadgir,Shapur,Shorapur. the district comprises The ,16 hoblies, 117 Gram Panchayets, 519 villages (inhabited & uninhabited) and four municipalities. .this city diclared has district on 30 th of 2009.The district occupies an area of 5,160.88 km².The district has a population of 956,180 (482,347 male and 473,933 female) as per the 2001 census.It has 1,024 primary schools, 149 high schools, 40 Pre-University colleges, six degree colleges, and 4 polytechnic institute.and one engg collage
